"I’ve been with State Farm for many years, maintaining a clean record with no accidents or tickets, and I always pay my bill on time. I was told that if I’m ever at fault in an accident, it would take 10 years to regain my current discount. While everyone at this agency is kind and professional, the experience feels very impersonal. Despite being a good driver and loyal customer, my bill has increased by about 10% every six months over the past three years. Each time, I receive a computer-generated notice in the mail with no personal explanation, just a generic response that “it’s going up for everyone.” Jim seems like a nice person, but in all my years here, I’ve never seen any meaningful effort to advocate for keeping more money in the pockets of safe driving, good and loyal customers. For a company whose slogan is “Like a good neighbor,” this feels more like dealing with a distant corporation than a neighbor who is looking out for you. Updated review: I appreciate the detailed response to my original review and the time taken to explain the rate increase process and available discounts. While the information is helpful, I want to clarify that my main concern was less of a lack of understanding of why rates are going up, but rather the overall experience of feeling like just a number despite many years of loyalty, safe driving, and on-time payments. I also could not help but notice that although the response is signed by Jim, it seems likely written by someone else or adapted from a standard template. That reinforces the feeling that even when concerns are raised, the response is more procedural than personal. I understand that State Farm, like other insurers, has to balance rising costs and risk, and that rate increases are often part of that. Still, it is worth mentioning that while rate hikes are presented as necessary, they are business decisions approved at the company’s request. For loyal customers with no claims, it can feel frustrating to pay more each year without seeing added value or personalized recognition in return. To be fair, your team has always been professional and courteous. However, I do hope to see more of the “good neighbor” spirit in action through meaningful loyalty rewards, stronger advocacy for long-time customers, and more authentic, personalized engagement. While our records do not reflect your name as a policyholder in our agency, we will do our best to respond. There are 3, 6 and 10 year accident free discounts with State Farm. If you have been insured with State Farm more than 10 years with no accidents, you may be earning a 10 year accident free discount. It’s not possible for me to know exactly since your name is not in our records. It’s is true that auto insurance rates have increased for all of us over the past several years, primarily due to inflation. The cost of parts and labor to repair vehicles has increased. Insurance companies in NYS must apply to the NYS Dept of Financial Services to request any rate increases and NYS DFS decides if the rate request is valid. All rates are controlled by NYS DFS. It is nice to hear you say our staff is courteous and professional. Your observation that all auto insurance renewals are computer generated is correct, and will likely continue to be the case. There are several ways our policyholders can take advantage of additional discounts. State Farm has a Drive Safe and Save Program which will reduce your premiums. "Very, very happy with Jim Rollo's office. We got a really high quote for homeowners insurance from another company so our realtor suggested we call these guys. "I previously had State Farm for a very long time. It got to be too expensive for me so I did find somewhere cheaper. If I did go back to State Farm. It would NOT be because of Jim Rollo. There’s a woman by the name of Toni that works in the Endwell one. She is a very wonderful human being. She helped me through so much whenever I had any kind of issue."

"Justin was kind and knowledgeable. Virtual call was a little tricky to work with and was a bit more confusing than in person. We had some technical (camera, screen) difficulties that may have been the system or something else. Overall, the service and insurance has been good, and all the people I've worked with have been kind and helpful and not pushy, just trying to teach."

"Got insurance from Jim Roll’s agency for a real estate closing. The transaction was remote and was handled smoothly and professionally with no issues.
